Legacy will be designed and built as a “green-built” project, utilizing indigenous, natural, non-toxic and environmentally friendly materials. We will implement eco-design elements such as passive and active solar systems and windmill energy. Recyclable materials, fossil fuels and platforms thereof - will be utilized and implemented. In addition to being a Luxury Resort Community and World Class Destination, Legacy will be a Sport - Entertainment - Educational and Cultural Showcase. There will be state of the art and science facilities and infrastructure, wireless application, as well as other cutting edge technologies.
Legacy will also implement programs, projects and elements to promote and support initiatives through the Players For Peace and Sport For Hope programs with the United Nations Sports for Development and Peace and the United Nations Environmental Program - UNEP. These legacy initiatives will be implemented in the Bahamas and throughout the Caribbean – in support of the United Nations General Assembly Resolution 56/75 on "Building a Peaceful and Better World through Sport and the Olympic Ideal".
